Turning
Turning is a machining method whereby a single point cutting tool is parallel to the workpeice surface. The process can be performed manually, with a traditional lathe, which necessitates continuous supervision by a tan operator, or by using a computer controlled and automated lather which does not. Our capacity list includes both manuel and CNC lathes. The Mori Seiki Mill-Turn is an example of the latest high-tech machinery that we use.
Max turning diameter 356mm and a max turning length up to 1 metre, depending on weight and diameter.
We use this method on many different types of metals and alloys, such as Monel, Titanium, Tool Steel, Tungsten Carbide, Tantalum, Super Duplex and Inconel.
Our milling machines work to very tight tolerances, imagine a human hair.
Now imagine something 20 times finer. That's four microns... and the tolerance routinely achieved by WES Hardmetal in fashioning some of the hardest metals on the planet.
What ever your manufacturing needs are for quality precision machined parts, subcontract machining or single source design and manufacturing we can provide the solution.
At Hardmetal the customer comes first: we provide top quality, reliable machined parts, fully furnished products and the real answer to your maching requirements.
