OUR PRODUCTS - THREADED ADAPTORS

There are two recognised standards of Threaded Adaptors - taper threads and parallel threads. Taper threads are self sealing where water cooling is concerned. Parallel threaded parts require a soft copper washer to form the water seal.

There is also a variant on the parallel type which has an o-ring after the threads but this variant requires an additional machined recess in the threaded holder.

They are normally manufactured from hexagon bar material. Most automotive companies have their own standards for threaded adaptors but they are all very similar.
