Cables are designed to carry powerful secondary welding currents.

There are 3 main types of secondary cable:

The standard air cooled cable will allow a small amount of movement, however they are normally found on tooling stations and attached to copper back-ups.

The water cooled cable is a single conductor again but designed for higher weld duty rates. It’s fully sheathed with water in/out connections to allow for internal cooling. These cables can be found on some hanging gun stations or fixed gun stations where the weld transformer is in close proximity.

The third type is the water cooled kickless cable, which are primarily used on hanging gun stations. Both the +ve and –ve cables are housed within the external sheath but insulated from each other.

Various terminal end connection formats are available.
