OUR PRODUCTS - STRAIGHT ADAPTORS

Straight adaptors, or shanks, are typically manufactured to the adopted standard of ISO 5183. This covers Ø13, Ø16 and Ø20mm bodies. All ISO adaptors have an external 1:10 taper (to suit electrode caps to ISO 5821) and a 1:10 mounting taper. They are available in drilled through (direct cooling) and blind end (indirect cooling).

Most motor vehicle manufacturer’s have their own welding standards or permutations of the ISO standard, so although the products look the same they are not always dimensionally the same, i.e. differing tapers.

WES usually hold standard shanks in stock and manufacture bespoke adaptors to order.
