The AGIETRON Hyperspark 2 HS has now been installed.
As part of our ongoing investment and expansion programme, we have now purchased another impressive machine. Production Engineer Daniel Hutchings, who masterminded the purchase and implementation of the machine, explains "Spark erosion based enquiries have been steadily increasing for a number of years, and this machine will prove to be a real asset to our growing company as it represents the very latest in spark erosion technology."
The machine has been in operation since the first week of December following a comprehensive training programme for 4 key staff which was based at Agie Charmilles' Coventry base. WES Managing Director Andrew Hosking commented "We are acutely aware of the need to match the quality of the machinery with the quality of the training that we provide to our staff, which is why we have invested so heavily in bringing skill levels up to the required standard."
Following the purchase of the brand new Spark Eroder, Andrew Hosking and Daniel Hutchings were invited by Agie to attend a special VIP visit to their manufacturing plants in Switzerland. The 3 day excursion incorporated a full tour of the production facilities at Losone and Zandone, including a visit to the exhibition centre and the R+D Technical centre. Mr Hosking described the trip as "an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of the innovative technology that AGIE produce." Daniel Hutchings added "its fantastic to think that we can now offer this standard of machinery to our customers. The speed and accuracy of the machines are amazing, which will allow our quality and lead times to be dramatically improved."
