Andrew Hosking Managing Director
Andrew has set up, run, and bought a number of companies in the last 25 years. Having originally been described as a 'natural engineer', he now fulfills the role of Managing Director to great effect. His strategic vision, paired with his day to day management skills have driven the company to where it is today. Andrew is an active member of the Institute of Directors, sits on the Board of the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is a founder member and Director of CADI.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

Sharon Wicks Finance Manager
Sharon joined the company in early 2008 in the new role of Finance Manager. She is currently studying towards the AAT qualification and has considerable experience of financial and management accounting.

James Gazzard Sales and Marketing Manager
James joined the company in 2006 having gained a 1st class Business Management Degree with honours. He has developed a comprehensive marketing strategy to proactively drive the company in new and existing markets and has recently taken over the management of the sales team. He is currently studying for the Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is working towards gaining Chartered Marketer status.

Richard Andrew Operations Manager, WES Resistance/Advanced
Richard is a natural hands-on engineer. He runs the team of engineers, and is directly in charge of the team leaders. He regularly solves the engineering problems encountered throughout the factory, and meets improbable deadlines through sheer determination and engineering excellence.

Daniel Hutchings Operations Manager, Hardmetal Engineering
Having won awards for his engineering prowess as an apprentice, Daniel's ability is unquestionable. He is steadily working his way up through the company, from skilled engineer, to fully qualified CAD/CAM technician, to Production engineer, to his current role as Operations Manager where he is involved with organising and motivating the team as well as planning the production schedule. Dan is currently studying for a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.

SALES TEAM

Geoff Higgs Technical Support Manager
Geoff is our technical support manager in the South of the UK. He has many years of experience in the field of resistance welding, and probably has the best knowledge of spot welding applications in the UK. If you have a resistance welding problem, Geoff is your man.

Dave Gardener Technical Support Manager
As a highly trained engineer and fully qualified CAD/CAM technician, Dave has worked his way up into a role that strongly suits his capabilities. He has an excellent knowledge of spot welding applications, as well as general and advanced engineering possibilities.

Roy Clowes Technical Support Manager
Roy has an outstanding engineering pedigree, having spent many years performing a managerial role within a large 1st tier supplier to the Aerospace Primes. He has great commercial and manufacturing experience from a multitude of industries and environments, although his Aerospace record is difficult to ignore, as he has an in-depth knowledge of the industry and the associated politics. Roy has increased our capabilities in terms of technical solutions, and allowed us to offer a comprehensive Product development function.

PRODUCTION and QUALITY TEAM

Andy Nurse Quality Manager
Andy is currently implementing a number of programmes to further improve our ISO 9001 quality system, with a longer term objective of attaining the AS/EN 9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 Environmental standard. Andy is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Nick Kent Senior Production Engineer
Nick is a skilled engineer who focuses on managing the CNC Programming side of the production process using SolidWorks/SolidCam. He has worked his way up through the company and is a key player in the production management team.

Justin Fuller Production Engineer
JF joined the company at the tender age of 17, and has been working his way up through the ranks ever since. His enthusiasm and natural ability have seen him go from Trainee through Skilled Engineer and Team leader to his current role as Production Engineer.

Dave Homer Production Supervisor, Hardmetal Engineering
Dave has immense experience in the machining of hard metals having been with the company for over 20 years. His knowledge is invaluable in the planning and management of the production process, and he regularly roles his sleeves up and works the machines when needed.

Dave Pryor Purchasing
Dave manages the purchasing function within the company. He liaises with suppliers and the production team to ensure that an adequate supply of material is readily available.
